Deepal has revealed the prices of one of its most unconventional electric vehicles—the Deepal E07. From the front, it looks like an SUV, but from the back, it is a ute. This unconventional offering is set to launch in Australia in Q3 of 2025. Touted as China’s take on Tesla’s cyber truck, this radically designed ute/SUV(or would it be an U-SUV?) EV was unveiled during the 2025 Melbourne Motor Show.

SUV to Ute in seconds
One of the standout features of the Deepal E07 is its transformable design. We’ve seen plenty of examples of SUVs and utes based on the same mechanical underpinnings, like the Ford Ranger and Everest, but this is the first time it’s all in the same car. The brand claims the E07 can switch from SUV mode to ute mode in seconds, thanks to its fold-flat tailgate and flexible rear layout.
It offers a payload capacity of 300kg — modest compared to traditional utes but sufficient for weekend adventures, light hauling, or lifestyle needs.
Adding to its versatility is a panoramic retractable dome roof.
