The 2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series has been officially revealed in Japan, offering a first glimpse at the significant updates to the interior and technology package heading to Australia in the coming months. Toyota’s latest iteration of the flagship off-roader is expected to arrive locally between April and June, bringing key enhancements across infotainment, connectivity, and safety.
Images released by Toyota Gazoo Racing provide a detailed look at the revised cabin, particularly in the feature-packed GR Sport variant, which now features a fully digital instrument cluster and the brand’s latest infotainment system.
Upgraded digital displays and infotainment

Toyota has introduced a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the GR Sport, VX, Sahara, and Sahara ZX variants, replacing the previous 7-inch semi-digital unit. Alongside this, a new-generation 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with updated software is now standard, offering:
- Connected satellite navigation
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Over-the-air (OTA) software updates
Physical climate controls are now standardised across the range, replacing on-screen adjustments for easier usability. However, the physical infotainment buttons have been removed, with only volume and power controls remaining below the touchscreen. Toyota has also ditched the CD/DVD player from the VX trim onwards but they do gain an HDMI port for multimedia playback while parked.
The Toyota Connected Services package now includes remote air-conditioning control via the myToyota app, though the complimentary access period has been reduced from three years to 12 months.
GX and GXL variants also benefit from the latest infotainment software, but now feature an 8-inch touchscreen (previously 9 inches), while gaining a 7-inch digital driver display in place of the older analogue gauges and 4.2-inch information screen.
Interior and feature enhancements
Beyond the infotainment upgrades, Toyota has introduced a range of new features across the LandCruiser 300 Series lineup:
- GX: Now includes a power-adjustable steering wheel, LED cabin lighting, and rear-view camera guidelines.
- GXL: Gains suede-like fabric upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, four-zone climate control, a cooled centre console, and a split-folding second-row with centre armrest.
- VX: Now offers an eight-way power-adjustable passenger seat and an electric tailgate.
- GR Sport: Features a puddle lamp in the luggage area for improved visibility at night.

Enhanced safety systems
The 2025 LandCruiser 300 Series also receives an upgraded safety suite, with new features standard across the range, including:
- Lane-centring assist
- Emergency steering assist
- Emergency driving stop system
Additionally, GXL and higher grades gain:
- Door-opening warning system (linked to blind-spot monitoring sensors)
- Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) in reverse for added collision prevention

Australian pricing and arrival
Toyota Australia has yet to confirm local pricing for the updated LandCruiser 300 Series, but an increase over the current model is expected. The outgoing range starts at $96,991 before on-road costs for the GX and goes up to $145,791 for the Sahara ZX.

Further details, including official pricing and availability, will be announced closer to its Australian launch between April and June.
