Kia Australia has confirmed pricing and full specifications for its latest electric vehicle, the 2025 Kia EV3. Positioned as the brand’s most affordable electric SUV, the EV3 will start at $47,600 before on-road costs and is set to arrive in showrooms later this month.

Offering a choice of three trim levels and two battery sizes, the EV3 is built on a modified version of Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP platform. While it features a 400V electrical architecture—unlike the 800V system in the larger (and more expensive) EV6 and EV9—it still offers competitive range and charging speeds.

Pricing and Variants

ModelPrice before on-roads
2025 Kia EV3 Air Standard Range$47,600
2025 Kia EV3 Air Long Range$53,315
2025 Kia EV3 Earth Long Range$58,600
2025 Kia EV3 GT-Line Long Range$63,950

It is $9000 more affordable than the Kia EV5, which is built in China, with prices starting from $56,770 (before on-road costs). However, Kia can’t beat the Chinese brands in pricing with the BYD Atto 3 which has a starting price below $40k.

Servicing and warranty

However, the brand offers a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty for all its vehicles, with EV components such as the battery and electric motor covered for up to 150,000km.

EV3 Rivals in Australia

The 2025 Kia EV3 is set to be one of the most competitively priced electric SUVs in Australia. With its sub-$ 50,000 starting price, the EV3 directly challenges rivals like the BYD Atto 3 ($39,990-$44,990) and the Hyundai Kona Electric ($54,000+). While it offers a competitive range, its pricing places it slightly above entry-level options in the segment.
