jeep cherokee
Few brands have the near-instant recognition of Jeep. For many, the American car maker is used as a generic term for an off-road vehicle. And the Wrangler that is most faithful to those early Jeeps has an iconic design that others have copied over the years.

Jeep has built its reputation on going off-road, but the Cherokee that arrived in 2014 was built for changing tastes that were increasingly focused on the suburbs rather than the scrub.
Some didn"t even have four-wheel drive, instead driving only the front wheels.
But at the same time, Jeep ensured there was a version of the Cherokee that could do more than most would ever expect of it. That model is called the Trailhawk and comes with unique styling touches and some extra four-wheel drive hardware and software smarts to make it more capable than the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5 it competes with.
Jeeps have rarely been undernourished in the performance department and that’s the case with the Cherokee.
That Trailhawk model comes exclusively with a punchy 3.2-litre V6 that’s also available on other models with all-wheel drive. It’s not as frugal as some but ensures you’re rarely lacking in punch.
Two-wheel drive versions come with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder that is more frugal but not as fun or easy to live with. It gets the job done, though.
Those wanting to save on fuel can choose the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel that has a gruff character and teams with an all-wheel drive system.
Entry to the range starts with the Sport or you can choose the Longitude with more equipment, including parking sensors and sat-nav.
Those chasing more luxury can opt for the Limited that gets nicer finishes and things such as heated front seats.
