The Ford EcoSport looked like it was built for adventure, but did its best work in the urban jungle.
A small footprint, tight 10.6m turning circle, high seating position, spacious (for its size) interior and frugal drivetrain made it a great shopping trolley.
However, the left-side hinge for the tailgate did mean the operator was closer to traffic flow if the car was parked roadside.
